2. Drink Water. Over 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. Dehydration is the #1 source of afternoon fatigue. A 2% loss of water can cause your metabolism to slow down, brain fog, and loss of productivity.
3. Avoid the soda fix. Sugar will NEVER (EVER) help you be more productive. You may get a temporary jolt, but the only thing you are really getting is extra calories that will translate into fat. Snack on a handful of almonds, fruit or yogurt instead if you want to maintain energy without a crash.
4. Take a break. The body naturally runs in cycles. So every 90 to 120 minutes, stand up, go for a walk, stretch and totally disengage from your work. Studies show youll be more focused, productive and refreshed after a 10-minute break.
5. Eat small meals at regular intervals. Eating 5-6 low calorie, highly nutritious meals a day insures a steady supply of energy... and a slimmer waistline.
